Changes from Winter to Spring- We will be doing a group discussion on the changes that happen between winter and spring. We will also be going on a nature walk to see the changes around us outside.

Shapely Kites

Kite flying is one of the beloved spring activities. So we are going to go on a kite hunt around our classroom. Each kite will be a different color and shape. The kids will all return with their kite that they found and identify what the shape and color is.

PRE-K Reading and Sight Words

This week we will be reviewing all of our sight words that we have learned through out the year.

We will be identifying the process of reading by understanding we put a space between each word and identifying where the sentence ends.

We will also be playing Sight Word Bingo!

High Flying Numbers

Children will find a kite with a certain number on it. They will then add bows to the kite that match the same number.

Writing
We will be writing a page on "If I were a kite on a windy day, I would fly away to..."
I will help them finish the page along with encouraging them to use their imaginations to think of a fun place that they would fly to.

X marks the spot - Calling all Pirates!!

Welcome Back Me Mateys!
I hope everybody had a great spring break!!! I'm excited to have everybody back.
We have a fun filled week ahead - we have reached the letter "X" in our alphabet and as we all know... X marks the spot for the pirate treasure.
That's right!!! Our preschool has been taken over by pirates. We have a fun filled week ahead with all kinds of Pirate fun. Be sure to read all the notes to make sure your child is prepared!!

PIRATE DAY

On Wednesday and Thursday we will be having a PIRATE DAY!!!

Be sure to have your little ones come dressed as a pirate!!!

We will also be making pirates ships with water bottles, so please bring in a water bottle (with the label removed) to school on that day.

The kids will have lots of fun making their own pirate ships along with going on a real treasure hunt with their very own treasure map. It will for sure be a memorable day for all the kids!!!

Pirate Ship Colors

Our Pirate Ships Colors game is a fun way to recognize color names.
All around our class we will have pirates ships of different colors. I will hold up a color word and all the kids have to go to the ship of that same color.

TREASURE CHEST COUNTING COINS-

We have a very fun center game this week for our Pirate theme!
We have hidden around the room treasure maps and treasure chests. The only problem is that they are all mixed up!
The kids will have to count the coins in each treasure chest and find the correct map that it goes with.
